Victor Langellotti, from Burgos-BH, claimed victory in the 6th stage of the 2023 Tour of Turkey after an uphill finish in a 193 km stage starting in Bodrum and ending in Selçuk.
Although there was some confusion regarding the exact time gap between the breakaway and the peloton with around 30 km to go, the leaders appeared to have a significant advantage. On a dusty descent toward the final climb, several cyclists crashed.
With 10 km remaining, five riders had a slight lead over a chasing group, but the peloton caught up with them before the final ascent. On the final climb, Domen Novak initiated the attacks, although Giulio Pellizzari tried to complete the attack in the last few hundred meters. However, at the finish line, it was Victor Langellotti who emerged victorious, ahead of Alexey Lutsenko.
With this result, Lutsenko maintains his lead in the General Classification of the 2023 Tour of Türkiye.
