The S-Works Tarmac SL8 is the eighth generation of Specialized’s top-of-the-line bike. It was launched on August 6, 2023. Remco Evenepoel’s S-Works Tarmac SL8 has the same specifications as the bike available on the market.
The size 52 bike is equipped with the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Roval Rapid CLX II wheels, and the new Roval Rapide Cockpit. There seems to be a concern about weight, as the bike is at the UCI’s minimum limit of 6.80kg.
The only differences are the larger chainrings of 54/40 teeth and the S-Works Power Mirror saddle. It’s important to note that Remco uses the S-Works seatpost with a 5 mm setback in an inverted position.
