Athletes will face a huge difference in the 2025 World Cup

Very difficult route, with 5,000 meters of elevation difference

The 2025 Cycling World Cup is scheduled for September 21-28, with Rwanda’s capital, Kigali, as its epicenter. “Don’t put a sprinter in your prediction, because with Mount Kigali, the infamous Mur of Kigali and especially the cobblestone slope in the last two km, it will be a very difficult route,” says Christophe Impens of Golazo.

“The athletes will face 5,000 meters of elevation difference at an altitude of more than 1,400 meters. We are also impressed with the quality of the roads and the infrastructure available. Kigali has all the ingredients to present a high-quality World Cup to cycling fans.”
