On Wednesday, Geraint Thomas, leader of the INEOS Grenadiers team, shared his goals for the 2024 season, revealing his participation in both the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France, however his big opponent in both competitions will be none other than Tadej Pogacar.

The two-time Tour de France Champion responded to the Briton’s announcement on Instagram, with a tone that mixes joke and threat, “See you soon.”
Obviously, the two are good friends, so the message must be interpreted ironically, but there is no doubt that Pogacar’s presence will make things more difficult for Geraint Thomas.
“I forgot about this guy”, commented Thomas, who joined in on the joke. “Man, honestly, I think you need to take it easy. You are still young. Another year will make all the difference. Go for the Giro/Tour in 2025.”
