The Cervélo has unveiled an exclusive frame for its aero S5 bicycle, celebrating Jumbo-Visma’s remarkable achievements in the 2023 Grand Tours. This special design may potentially be adopted by Visma-Lease a Bike in 2024.
In an extraordinary season for the Dutch team, Primoz Roglic triumphed in the Giro d’Italia, followed by Jonas Vingegaard defending the title in the Tour de France. The triple crown was completed by Sepp Kuss, who surprised with a victory in the Vuelta a España.
In tribute to these achievements, the new set of special edition frames retains the team’s well-known yellow and black color scheme, enhanced with an additional pattern in shades of pink, yellow, and red on the upper and front tubes. These elements represent the jerseys of the winners in the three Grand Tours.
Robert Gesink posted the first image of the bike
In a post shared by Robert Gesink during the Jumbo-Visma Training Camp on his Strava account, the team’s S5 bikes displayed the same pattern, albeit without the inclusion of pink and red shades. This observation sparked speculation that this could be the chosen design for the team in the 2024 season.
With the incorporation of new sponsors, the team has not yet revealed its aesthetic for 2024, and there was an expectation of a possible change from the traditional yellow and black colors. However, if this design is adopted for 2024, it signals that the iconic yellow and black colors will remain an integral part of the team’s visual identity.
Cervélo and the team are entering the fourth year of their partnership in 2024. The bike supplier has been with the team since 2021, after the Jumbo-Visma agreement with Bianchi came to an end. The partnership has proven to be successful so far, with three victories in the Grand Tours of 2023.
