Wins in 2023
Lamperti won a series of races for Trinity Racing in 2023, including points classification at the Tour of Japan and the Tour of Britain and revealed his childhood dream on the Bob & Jens Podcast, by former professionals Bob Julich and Jens Voigt:
“As a child I always wanted to be part of this team, so riding here is truly a dream come true. All the cyclists who have won races like Roubaix and Flanders are great in the Classics and have a great track record in Monuments.”
American has lived in the Netherlands since he was 15
The American, but he hasn’t lived in the Netherlands for some time. “I moved to the Netherlands when I was fifteen. In Europe I found what I wanted. I started mountain biking as a kid, but slowly transitioned to the road.”
“In the Netherlands, I participated in the national team as a junior. I’m fascinated by cobblestones. Because of how cobblestone racing is different from other street racing.”
Premiere in Mallorca
I had two great Training Camps with the team. I’m really looking forward to my debut in Mallorca (January 24th to 28th) and my first competition number. I hope to have some opportunities during the season to see where I am, but I have no real goals. I really don’t know what to expect yet. I was very well received by the team and I hope to learn from these boys”, concluded the American.
