The 9th stage presents itself with two categorized ascents. In the first one, the Puerto Casas de la Marina la Perdiz, after 50km from the start, averaging 4.9% over a distance of 11.5 kilometers. However, the organization’s profiles show that between the 6th and 9th kilometers, there will be sections with a 10% incline.
After this ascent, the route is relatively calm until the final climb of the day: the Collado de la Cruz de Caravaca. On the route map, we have 8.2km at an average incline of 5.5%. Easy? Not quite, as there will be sections with a 20% incline in the last three and a half kilometers. There will also be a slight descent one and a half kilometers from the finish.
