In this stage, the starting point will be in Morella, at the northernmost tip of the Valencian Community, a mountain village situated over 1100 meters above sea level. The finish line will be in Burriana, on the Spanish coast, indicating that the cyclists will descend significantly during the 5th stage.
This stage won’t be easy as the route will have more than 2600 meters of altitude gain. Nevertheless, considering the upcoming climbs, this will be one of the easier days of the Vuelta. The stage will cover 186 kilometers, and it’s likely to conclude with a mass sprint for the stage victory. The final straight will be 750 meters along the beach.
