In another stage set for a sprint finish, what we witnessed was all breakaways being neutralized for the expected outcome. In the final kilometers, INEOS Grenadiers took the initiative, closely followed by BORA Hansgrohe. Jumbo-Visma patiently waited for the right moment to launch the “missile” Wout van Aert to carry his protege Olav Kooij.
