The race that opens the World Tour calendar starts next Tuesday, (16.01), with a large 144km circuit in the city of Talunda. The race will extend over the next week, with six stages, the last one, arriving at the iconic Mount Lofty, on Sunday, (21.06).

The Portuguese language can be heard in the Australian squad. Despite being on opposing teams, UAE Team Emirates and Movistar Team, António Morgado and Vinícius Rangel, respectively, will be competing in the Tour Down Under.
The two cyclists are experiencing different moments in the competition. While Morgado will make his World Tour debut with UAE Team Emirates, Vinícius Rangel is fighting to stay with the team, as his contract at Movistar ends at the end of 2024.
