The teams that will compete in this year’s Tour de France have been revealed. In addition to the eighteen WorldTeams, Lotto Dstny and Israel-Premier Tech had already secured their participation at the start of the competition, on June 29th in Florence.
Now, ASO, organizer of the Tour, has granted special invitations to the Uno-X and TotalEnergies teams. It is important to note that despite the invitation to the Tour de France, TotalEnergies was not invited to participate in the Criterium du Dauphiné, where the Q36.5 will be allowed to compete.
Same teams as in 2023
So, in 2024, we will have exactly the same 22 teams that were present in 2023. The eighteen WorldTeams are present again and the ProTeams that were present last year, Uno-X, TotalEnergies, Lotto Dstny and Israel-Premier Tech, will also be there again.
Lotto Dstny and Israel-Premier Tech, could not avoid the invitation, as they finished in the first and second positions in the UCI ranking for ProTeams in 2023. Uno-X and TotalEnergies received Wild Cards from the Tour organization.
