Tadej Pogacar is excited about his return to competition today in an Italian classic race

Tadej Pogacar will compete today for the first time since the World Cycling Championships. The Slovenian cyclist has already been confirmed to participate in the Coppa Sabatini this Thursday (September 14th), but he will also be competing today in the Giro della Toscana.

“I was ready for a break after the World Cup, but now I feel refreshed and excited to start this final period in Italy,” says the Slovenian, not hiding his enthusiasm.

“The Italian autumn is always one of my favorite times of the cycling year. There’s always a great atmosphere in the build-up to Il Lombardia,” Pogacar concludes.

Pogacar will race today in the Giro della Toscana alongside George Bennett, Felix Großschartner, Davide Formolo, Jan Christen, the Slovenian newcomer Gal Glivar, and the Dutch rider Sjoerd Bax.
