The Spanish team Movistar Team is busy finalizing the squad for the upcoming season. The team representing the major telecommunications group aims to start 2024 with 27 cyclists, as reported by the Spanish sports newspaper Marca.

Key leaders will remain in the team

It is certain that classification leaders Enric Mas, Alex Aranburu, Ruben Guerreiro, Oier Lazkano, Vinicius Rangel, Iván Romeo, and Sergio Samitier will continue with Movistar in 2024. These cyclists still have valid contracts with the Spanish team.

Nelson Oliveira and other key riders from the team will also stay

The future of Johan Jacobs, Iván García Cortina, Jorge Arcas, Will Barta, Fernando Gaviria, Einer Rubio, Antonio Pedrero, Gonzalo Serrano, Albert Torres, Gregor Mühlberger, Mathias Norsgaard, and the Portuguese rider Nelson Oliveira will also be with Movistar since the team’s coach, Eusebio Unzué, has already announced interest in extending expiring contracts.
