As it is already known, Remco Evenepoel will make his first appearance in the Tour de France in 2024. Recently, the Belgian was seen riding three stages of the Tour in the last days of 2023.
Evenepoel maintained a surprisingly low profile on Strava for several days. The Belgian cyclist is usually known for documenting almost all of his training sessions on the sports platform. However, between January 27 and 30, no new activity records were registered.
“Secret” Training
Cycling enthusiast Lukáš Ronald Lukács posted on the, now X, Belgian champion’s training on the gravel roads that are part of the controversial 9th stage of the Tour de France 2024. Evenepoel was accompanied by Louis Vervaeke, sports director Klaas Lodewyck, mechanic Nicolas Coosemans, and manager David Geeroms as they rode through France together.
Evenepoel explored the seventh, eighth, and ninth stages. The seventh stage is the Time Trial in Burgundy, the eighth stage is a transitional phase. The ninth stage is the gravel stage in Troyes and its surroundings.
