Primoz Roglic was in high spirits after the time trial in Valladolid. The Slovenian cyclist managed to narrow the gap to Remco Evenepoel and witnessed Sepp Kuss retain the red jersey. “Although it was a quite challenging race, I’m pleased with the performance.”
“It could have been much worse, so we can’t complain. I’m very happy with it. Remco is the world time trial champion and always in super form,” he continued.
Roglic himself finished in third place in the time trial. With that, he also gains time on most of the classification riders. “My power meter showed good numbers. The numbers were good, and I really went all out. So yes, what can I say? I’m very happy with the result.”
When asked if he is now the undisputed leader of Jumbo Visma, he laughs, “Sepp Kuss is still the man in red, isn’t he? We’re riding entirely for Sepp.”
