Mark Cavendish, at 38, is competing in the Tour Colombia. Representing the Astana Qazaqstan Team, he is preparing for this summer’s Tour de France, but first tackles the demanding Colombian mountains.
For a sprinter like Cavendish, stage 3 was particularly challenging, but he still found time to interact with fans by taking a selfie during his journey.
Difficulties at the back of the pack
Cavendish had difficulties at the back of the pack during the climbs of the 3rd stage of the Tour of Colombia, but that didn’t stop the “Manx Missile” from returning the fans’ affection. As seen in the video below, when Cavendish takes a fan’s cell phone while climbing, he smiles and takes a photo with the admirer. The spectator jumps with joy after the unique moment.
