Primož Roglič will be the undisputed leader of Jumbo-Visma for tomorrow’s (September 30) Giro dell’Emilia, even though the Slovenian hasn’t guaranteed that he will remain with the team for the next season. Roglič will have the support of a strong team, with Tiesj Benoot, Attila Valter, and Jan Tratnik in the Italian classic.
Roglič also competed in the Vuelta a España with Valter and Tratnik, finishing in third place, behind his teammates Sepp Kuss and Jonas Vingegaard.
In 2019 and 2021, Roglič managed to win the Giro dell’Emilia. Koen Bouwman, Gijs Leemreize, and Sam Oomen complete the lineup for the Giro dell’Emilia. Out of these three, two cyclists are in their final weeks with the Dutch team. Gijs Leemreize will move to Team dsm-firmenich, and Sam Oomen will join Lidl-Trek starting in 2024.
