Plapp doesn’t hide his excitement: “The Tour Down Under is a competition of great importance and significance for an Australian, and now it becomes even more special as I am competing for the Australian team Jayco AlUla. I am extremely motivated and looking forward to the race.”
Simon Yates and Caleb Ewan are also on the team
Whether Plapp will compete for the victory remains to be seen, as Jayco AlUla also boasts two prominent names: Caleb Ewan and the veteran Simon Yates. The team aims to compete for stage wins and the overall classification with this lineup.
The Australian squad is completed by Chris Harper, Kelland O’Brien, Michael Hepburn, and Campbell Stewart. The Tour Down Under runs from January 16 to January 21.
