The INEOS Grenadiers remains one of the financially strongest teams in the world; however, the British team has shown a calm approach during the transfer window and has not made any official announcements regarding signings for the 2024 season.
Nevertheless, according to information from Noticias de Navarra, it appears that this situation is about to change, as Óscar Rodríguez, who currently rides for the Movistar Team, is said to have signed a three-year contract with the INEOS Grenadiers.
Rodríguez, 28 years old, previously competed for Astana (2019-2020) and Euskadi Murias (2017-2019) before transferring to Movistar in 2022. While riding for the now-disbanded Basque team, the Spanish climber made his professional debut. In the 2018 Vuelta a España, he won the 14th stage to La Camperona.
This is his first and, for now, only professional victory, but Rodríguez has achieved several top finishes in the following seasons. For example, in 2021, he finished second in the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge and third in La Route d’Occitanie. He was second in last year’s Tour of Hungary and came very close to his second professional victory in the Tour du Limousin this season.
