The 3rd stage of the Tour de l’Avenir 2023 was a team time trial, where the times of the first four cyclists crossing the finish line are recorded. For the Belgian team, everything was going well until the last corner.
In the final corner of the finishing straight, the four Belgian cyclists arrived together. However, the first cyclist slid and crashed forcefully into the barriers. While his three teammates crossed the line, the injured cyclist got up and, in an incredible display of team spirit, walked with great difficulty towards the finish line with his bike in hand.
