From February 1st, Thor Hushovd will take on the role of team manager at Uno-X Mobility. At 46 years old, Hushovd, world champion in 2012, will succeed Jens Haugland, as he will start working on the development of Norwegian cycling.
Vegar Kulset, CEO of the company Uno-X Mobility, explains why the team chose the former world champion. “We have just secured a wildcard for the Tour de France, for the second year in a row. We are grateful and happy, but the wildcard position is not our ultimate goal.”
Uno-X Mobility belongs to the Reitan Retail group
“For both of us, this complements our core responsibilities as business leaders at Reitan Retail.” Uno-X Mobility is part of Reitan Retail, a retail company.
“The hiring of Thor Hushovd represents a new step in the development of the cycling team and strengthens our leadership in the Reitan Retail and Uno-X Mobility activities. Thor needs no further introduction. He has excellent training and personality to help the team take the necessary measures. Our WorldTeam ambitions in men’s and women’s cycling are no secret.”
