Eli Iserbyt states: “There was a nine in ten chance that Nys would fall” after the forced overtake at the Overijse Druivencross

Eli Iserbyt had a strong start to last season but hadn’t won until today. The Belgian leads the Superprestige Cup after a strong performance and a dramatic final against Thibau Nys.

After the race, Iserbyt revealed how the decisive moment of the race unfolded, with Thibau Nys’s fall and his subsequent victory.

Eli exhausted after the finish.

“He passed me very quickly in a virtually impossible place. When he passed me, I thought, there’s a nine in ten chance he’ll fall. I wanted to leave a small gap because my result in the turn would be better. He fell with great force. Fortunately, I wasn’t as bad,” he added. “In fact, I managed to get over him, which allowed me to secure the victory.”

A very important victory for Iserbyt, which he celebrated enthusiastically at the finish line. It was his first win of the season.
