In the last few days, the Tour Colombia had the confirmation of the participation of important cyclists. After Mark Cavendish’s announcement, it is virtually certain that Egan Bernal will also be present in the Colombian race, although not competing for INEOS Grenadiers.
According to the always well-informed Italian journalist Ciro Scognamiglio from Gazzetta dello Sport, the British team decided not to participate in the Colombian race, unlike their past involvement. However, Bernal intends to start the season in his country and will likely do so as a member of the national team.
The event is scheduled to take
place from February 6 to 11 and will feature the participation of other notable stars, including Olympic champion Richard Carapaz and sprinter Mark Cavendish. After demonstrating a solid performance this year, Bernal is considered one of the favorites for the general classification.
