DSM-Firmenich will have a World Champion in their team for Vuelta a España 2023.

DSM-Firmenich has unveiled its selections for participation in Vuelta a España. The Dutch team’s primary objective isn’t a general classification victory; instead, their focus is on stage wins, bolstered by riders such as Romain Bardet, Alberto Dainese, and the promising Max Poole.

Unquestionably, the standout figure on the team is Romain Bardet. At 32 years old, the French cyclist has amassed notable achievements, including second and third places in previous editions of the Tour de France. However, his goal for the upcoming Vuelta a España isn’t to vie for an overall position. Bardet is setting his sights on a stage victory.

The team will also feature sprinter Alberto Dainese, along with the promising young talents Max Poole and Oscar Onley. The 20-year-old debutants are ready to make their Grand Tour debut, alongside the Italian Lorenzo Milesi (the reigning under-23 Time Trial world champion) and Sean Flynn. The more experienced riders Romain Combaud and Chris Hamilton are also part of the lineup.
