Visma-Lease a Bike will present its team for the upcoming season this Thursday, and, in addition to Vingegaard and Kuss, Cian Uijtdebroeks will also be present. The Dutch team announced Uijtdebroeks’ transfer in early December, but his current team, BORA-hansgrohe, did not agree.
Despite the contract with the German team being terminated, Uijtdebroeks, at just 20 years old, remains registered on the UCI website as a cyclist for BORA-hansgrohe for the next year.
“The contract between Cian Uijtdebroeks and BORA-hansgrohe was terminated on December 1, 2023. The legal procedure has already been initiated by Cian, and the UCI is aware of the contract termination,” said a statement from Uijtdebroeks’ staff.
