Felix Ørn-Kristoff will turn professional with Intermarché-Wanty in 2026. The 17-year-old Norwegian, half-brother of Norwegian star Alexander Kristoff, winner of the 2015 Tour of Flanders, will receive guidance from the Walloon team structure in his second year junior. However, in 2024 and 2025 the young man will compete for the Wanty-ReUz-Technord training team.
Standout performance
Ørn-Kristoff had a standout performance in 2023 when he was still a junior. He came third at the World Junior Championships in Glasgow and ninth at the European Championships in Drenthe. Now, he signs a contract until the end of 2027, with Intermarché-Wanty, the team that his half-brother Alexander Kristoff was part of in 2022.
Inspiration from big races
“The Intermarché-Wanty cyclists have been a great inspiration to me for some time now,” said Ørn-Kristoff in a press release.
“For example, I remember the 2022 classics, when they did incredible things against all expectations. Furthermore, the classics are the races that fascinate me and are part of Intermarché-Wanty’s DNA.”
“That’s why I wanted to be part of this Belgian structure. Both my brother Alexander and Sven Erik Bystrøm unanimously encouraged me to make this choice, as it offers all the help I need on all levels.”
Team director highlights family mentality
The Belgian team’s sporting director, Kévin Van Melsen, considers Ørn-Kristoff an exceptional talent. “He has the mentality of someone who works hard, that characterizes the Kristoff family,” he says.
Van Melsen was a teammate of older brother Kristoff when he competed for the Belgian team in 2022. Alexander Kristoff now competes for the Norwegian team Uno-X.
