The BORA-hansgrohe team has announced Marc Lamberts as its latest addition to the technical staff. The Belgian, with extensive eight years of experience at Jumbo-Visma and a long period as a personal coach for Wout van Aert, will work with the team’s general classification athletes. It was already known that he would follow Primoz Roglic to BORA-hansgrohe.
“I’m always looking for the best people to make the team successful,” says Dan Lorang, Performance Manager at BORA-hansgrohe. “Marc brings decades of experience in elite sports and coaching to the team and has worked with one of the most successful teams in recent years. His multidisciplinary approach is something I really like, and I believe he can help us become one of the leading GC teams in the WorldTour in the coming years.”
“I look forward to working with Marc and seeing how he will help both experienced riders and young talents get the best out of themselves. With his personality, he’s a perfect addition to our coaching group.”
Lamberts ready for the challenge
Lamberts himself says he was ready for a new challenge. “After eight years at Jumbo-Visma, after winning all three Grand Tours in one year, I felt like it had come to an end,” said the Belgian. “I’m looking forward to starting a new challenge and excited about this opportunity at BORA-hansgrohe!”
