Astana Qazaqstan Team presents team for 2024; check out all the cyclists on the team, with 14 new names

The WorldTour team from Kazakhstan has announced its entire lineup for the upcoming season. The team led by Alexandr Vinokurov features 14 new names this year, but according to the team manager, it is not yet perfect. “On paper, we are missing one rider in our team,” said Vinokurov.

14 new cyclists on the team

The team formed around Kazakh champion Alexey Lutsenko and one of the greatest sprinters of all time, Mark Cavendish, is welcoming 14 new cyclists, two of them coming from the Astana Qazaqstan Development Team (Harold Martin Lopez and Nicolas Vinokurov) and another two from other Kazakh projects (Daniil Marukhin and Anton Kuzmin).

Alexandr Vinokourov confirms the search for another leader:

“I believe we have created a well-balanced roster with a good mix of young talents and experienced riders, well-known and respected in the peloton. So, we are thinking about some big goals for the next season. On paper, we are missing a rider who can contend for the General Classification in a Grand Tour, but we’ll see how the season unfolds,” reveals the team manager.
