The Alpecin-Deceuninck team made a major announcement this Wednesday to reveal its entire roster for 2024. For its second season in the WorldTour, the Belgian team will have 30 cyclists and is banking on continuity, following its leaders Mathieu van der Poel, Jasper Philipsen, and Kaden Groves.
“No major changes regarding the core of cyclists. It wouldn’t be logical after a year of great success, especially because all our leaders are still under contract. We continue to have confidence in them,” states the team’s press release.
Although they had only announced three recruits promoted directly from their transition team, Timo Kielich, Axel Laurance, and Henri Uhlig, the structure led by the Roodhooft brothers announced four more names: Luca Vergallito, Stan Van Tricht, Lars Boven, and Juri Hollmann.
“They are athletes who can add value to the future development of the team. We are confident that this will result in a very balanced team that we can start 2024 with,” the statement said.
Renewed contracts
Alpecin-Deceuninck has announced its complete lineup for 2024, which includes 30 cyclists. However, four riders, Dries De Bondt, Jakub Mareczko, Kristian Sbaragli, and Robert Stannard, will not be renewing their contracts for 2024.
