Primoz Roglic will compete in the Tour of Lombardy on October 7th. The Slovenian public broadcaster RTV SLO reports that the Jumbo-Visma cyclist confirmed his participation in the Italian race right after the final stage of the Vuelta a España. The Giro dell’Emilia is also said to be part of Roglic’s schedule.
Roglic has already competed in the Tour of Lombardy four times. In his last participation in 2021, he finished in fourth place, his best result so far. This year, he will have to compete against Remco Evenepoel and his compatriot Tadej Pogacar, who has won Il Lombardia in the last two years.
The Giro dell’Emilia is also not an unfamiliar race for Roglic. He has competed in it several times and has won it twice, in 2019 and 2021.
