A Brazilian bank will sponsor a Colombian Continental team in 2024, featuring a cyclist who won the Paris-Nice race

Nu Colombia, a subsidiary of Nubank in Colombia, announces that starting from the 2024 season, it will be the official sponsor of the professional cycling team Nu Colombia in the elite and under-23 categories in the men’s division.

The team will be part of the continental category of the UCI (International Cycling Union) with the goal of participating in national and international competitions, beginning with the National Road Championships scheduled for January and later the Tour Colombia in February.

Sergio Henao, who will be the main leader of the team, secured his position by winning the Paris-Nice in 2017.

The team consists of 17 cyclists, led by Colombian Sergio Henao, who has returned to the country after spending over 10 years in Europe, competing for teams such as SKY and UAE Team Emirates.

Other notable names reportedly joining the team include Andrés Camilo Ardila (formerly with UAE Team Emirates and Burgos BH), who has signed with the new Continental team. Additionally, Rodrigo Contreras (formerly with Astana) and Cristian Camilo Muñoz (formerly with UAE Team Emirates) are said to be leaving their current team, EPM, to join the new Colombian team.
