Pavel Sivakov, the French cyclist for UAE Team Emirates, was forced to abandon the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana due to a thigh injury.
According to a statement from the UAE Emirates team, “Unfortunately, Pavel Sivakov was unable to start the third stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana due to a hamstring injury.” The cyclist must now return home to recover and begin a rehabilitation program, focusing on the next races.
Program provides help for Tadej Pogacar
Sivakov’s program includes Paris-Nice and the Tour de France, where he will work so that Tadej Pogacar can regain hegemony in the Tour de France. The Frenchman made the move to UAE Team Emirates at the end of 2023, leaving the INEOS Grenadiers team after 6 seasons.
Sivakov expressed optimism for the next season, in a recent interview: “of course it is possible to beat Visma. We have the cyclists for this and we will do our best from day one”, declared Sivakov, excited about the upcoming season.
