The Groupama-FDJ team includes the presence of Lenny Martinez and Romain Grégoire at the start of the Vuelta a España. In addition to these promising French cyclists, the WorldTeam has also chosen Michael Storer and others to complete its lineup.
Romain Grégoire, who is in his first year as a professional, has already accumulated five victories during the past season. In May, the puncheur won a stage and also secured the overall classification of the Four Days of Dunkirk. Recently, he showcased his ability by winning the Tour du Limousin. In this multi-stage event, the 20-year-old cyclist shined by claiming victory in two stages.
On the other hand, Lenny Martinez, also in his debut season as a professional, has already secured his first victory at this level. The 20-year-old climber claimed the top spot at the CIC-Mont Ventoux in June. Recently, he achieved the twelfth position in the Tour de Pologne.
Michael Storer, 26 years old, is also in good shape. He impressively won the Tour de l’Ain at the beginning of August and shared the podium with Grégoire at the Tour du Limousin. The Australian secured the third spot there. In the 2021 Vuelta a España, Storer won two stages and the mountains classification. The remaining Groupama-FDJ roster for the Vuelta includes Rudy Molard, Lorenzo Germani, Clément Davy, Samuel Watson, and Lewis Askey, who will be the team’s sprinters.
