A equipe Soudal Quick-Step divulgou a lista dos oito ciclistas que participarão na Vuelta a España. Remco Evenepoel, campeão da Volta a Espanha no ano passado e novamente um dos principais candidatos, terá o suporte de seus compatriotas Pieter Serry e Louis Vervaeke, além de outros membros da equipe.
A equipe Soudal Quick-Step também é composta por James Knox, Adrea Bagioli, Mattia Cattaneo, Jan Hirt e Casper Pedersen. O líder da equipe, Remco Evenepoel, não esconde seu entusiasmo. “Sempre me senti bem na Espanha e também consegui sucesso lá. Espero poder continuar essa tendência nas próximas semanas.”
“If you scrutinize the course and the start list, you realize that it’s going to be a challenging race,” stated the Belgian road champion and recently crowned Time Trial world champion. “Yet, my preparation has been solid, backed by a strong team. Thus, I’m brimming with confidence and motivation for the forthcoming challenges,” he added.
Sporting Director Klaas Lodewyck asserts that Soudal Quick-Step is heading to Spain with a ‘well-balanced team’. “We have formidable climbers on board, but also riders capable of supporting Remco’s strategy. We anticipate a promising kickoff in Barcelona, following which we’ll take it day by day. In a few days, we’ll have a better grasp of our form and that of our competitors. We’re eagerly anticipating three fruitful weeks in Spain.”
