Caleb Ewan triumphed in the Australian Criterium Championship upon returning to the Jayco AlUla team. The sprinter showcased that he maintains his sprinting prowess by being the fastest in the mass finish, securing the victory after covering 44 kilometers in Ballarat.
Ewan, 29 years old, who left Lotto Dstny last fall due to disagreements, was rehired by his former Australian team. He outpaced Jensen Plowright (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Sam Welsford (BORA-hansgrohe) in the sprint, showcasing a notable display of strength. This victory marks Ewan’s fourth title in the Australian Criterium category.
