The reorganization within the INEOS Grenadiers team appears to be in full swing; however, there are also positive prospects for the British squad. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is a strong possibility that Carlos Rodríguez, previously linked to a potential transfer to Movistar, might choose to renew his expiring contract.
At just 22 years of age, Rodríguez has exhibited remarkable growth over the past two seasons with the INEOS Grenadiers. This accomplishment was highlighted by his fifth-place finish in the recent Tour de France.
However, despite initial indications that the talented Spanish climber would depart from the team at the end of this season, it seems that a move to Movistar might not be on the horizon. This possibility, which had been speculated for some time, is now being called into question by the Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Journalist Ciro Scognamiglio estimates on Twitter that there is an eighty percent chance that the promising cyclist will stay with INEOS Grenadiers for a longer period. This would be a significant stroke of luck for the team, as they had previously bid farewell to Pavel Sivakov (UAE Team Emirates), Tao Geoghegan Hart (Lidl-Trek), Daniel Felipe Martínez (BORA-hansgrohe), and Ben Tulett (Jumbo-Visma).
