The clashes between Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel have set record ticket sales

Cyclocross enthusiasts are clearly excited about the upcoming weekend of competitions. Both the Exact Cross event in Mol and the Cyclocross World Cup stage in Antwerp are experiencing significant demand in pre-ticket sales, as confirmed by the respective organizations.

All Saturday tickets already sold

Tomas Van de Spiegel, CEO of Flanders Classics, the company responsible for organizing the World Cup stage, proudly announced on Monday that 6,000 tickets have been sold for the competition stage in Antwerp, scheduled for the upcoming Saturday.

Things are also moving swiftly for the showdown between Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel, one day earlier at the Exact Cross event in Mol. “On Thursday morning at ten-thirty, we had almost 4,500 tickets sold,” said Christophe Impens from the organizing team Golazo.

“This doesn’t take into account tickets for partners. In total, we now have 5,000 tickets for Mol, and the pre-sale runs until midnight. And, of course, there will still be sales on the day itself.”

Impens is very pleased with the enthusiasm of the audience. “We didn’t expect this ourselves. This is an exceptional number, especially because Mol is a regular Friday. But apparently, many people leave for Christmas vacation a little early, and many companies use Mol as an ‘after-work’ celebration. We are pleasantly surprised by the rush for tickets.”
