UAE Team Emirates has revealed its new jersey for 2024, featuring Tadej Pogacar and Tim Wellens as models. The team, in the official announcement, describes the new uniform as “pure white, pure speed,” highlighting the predominant use of the color white in the new jersey. Also noteworthy is the white helmet worn by both cyclists. Could this be a new trend for 2024?
In recent years, the jersey featured predominantly black shoulders, but it now incorporates the color white as well. This transition occurred in 2019 and 2020 when there was still a red stripe across the chest. In the coming year, the predominance of white in the jersey will be even more apparent. In the lower region along the abdomen, there are thin stripes in the colors of the United Arab Emirates: red, green, white, and black.
Tadej Pogacar will wear a different uniform
These colorful stripes representing the United Arab Emirates will not be visible on Pogacar’s race jersey. As the Slovenian champion, he wears a modified version of the jersey with the colors of the National Champion, however, white is still dominant. This choice is not surprising, as Pogacar has often been seen wearing a white jersey during his appearances in the Tour de France in recent years.
