BORA-hansgrohe doesn’t seem to want to hire only Primož Roglič from Jumbo-Visma. The Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reports today that the German team is also working on bringing in coach Marc Lamberts. Besides being the personal coach of Primoz Roglic, the Belgian has held the same position with Wout van Aert for a long time at Jumbo-Visma.
If Lamberts does indeed move to BORA-hansgrohe, this would be a significant blow to Van Aert in particular. The latter has been working with Lamberts for twelve years. According to HLN, the German team is committed to hiring the coach.
Cian Uijtdebroeks has worked with Lamberts
With this team, Lamberts will have the opportunity to continue his collaboration with Roglič, but he will also have the chance to work with Cian Uijtdebroeks once again. The rising Belgian climbing sensation, who finished 8th in the last Vuelta a España, previously worked with Lamberts when he was a junior.
