Primoz Roglic will not bring any cyclists from Jumbo-Visma to his new team

There were rumors that Jan Tratnik would follow his compatriot Primoz Roglic to his future team, but it appears not to be the case. Tratnik’s manager and Jumbo-Visma have confirmed this to Daniel Benson, the editor-in-chief of the British channel GCN. Roglic also wouldn’t accept any other cyclist from the Dutch team for his new employer.

Tratnik, 33, is in his first season with Jumbo-Visma. The Slovenian was supposed to start alongside Roglic in the Giro d’Italia but didn’t participate due to an injury. He did participate in the Vuelta a España. Tratnik still has a contract with Jumbo-Visma until the end of 2024 and will honor that contract, as reported by the team to GCN.

It’s still uncertain which team Primoz Roglic will compete for next year. He plans to make the announcement after the end of his road cycling season. It is believed that Il Lombardia, which takes place on Saturday, October 7, might be his last race with the Dutch team. After eight seasons, Roglic is bidding farewell to Jumbo-Visma.
