Sepp Kuss is undoubtedly experiencing the best days of his career as a professional cyclist. However, the bandage on his face may serve as a reminder that he must not let his guard down at any moment. The American had an unpleasant experience on the penultimate day of this year’s Tour de France.
There, on Jonas Vingegaard’s wheel, he was on his way to achieving a solid top-10 placement in the final standings, having previously finished in 14th place in the Giro d’Italia.
During the route to Poligny, Kuss suffered a heavy fall when Carlos Rodriguez skidded in front of him on the descent. This fall dropped him to 12th place in the overall classification.
Kuss suffered serious facial injuries, but his participation in the Vuelta a España was never in jeopardy. However, there is still a reminder of his fall at the Tour de France, as Kuss has been seen wearing a bandage on the affected area throughout the entire Vuelta.
