Not only tension but also humor prevails among the athletes in this tumultuous Vuelta a España. Playful pranks among some cyclists from different teams are also present in this edition.
First, it was with Enric Mas, who changed the language of Pieter Serry’s computer, a former teammate from Soudal Quick-Step. There’s a good chance that the Spaniard set the language to Mandarin through the settings.
Jacopo Mosca (Lidl-Trek) repeated the prank with Filippo Ganna. The 30-year-old Italian stole Filippo Ganna’s cycling computer, but Ganna didn’t let it go without consequences. Ganna took it a step further by “stealing” his compatriot’s bike.
Before the 11th stage, Ganna rode around Lerma with Mosca’s bike on his shoulder. He left the “stolen item” in the Shimano trailer. Mosca came to retrieve his working instrument a little later. Lidl-Trek shared the footage on social media (see below). “Selling Jacopo Mosca’s bike. Send a message for more information,” Ganna responded.
