Raúl García Pierna will no longer ride for Team Kern Pharma next year. The 22-year-old Spaniard had been on Movistar’s radar since last year but opted for a French cycling adventure by signing with Arkéa-Samsic. García Pierna is known as a versatile cyclist and in 2022 became the Spanish Time Trial champion in the elite category.
In addition to excelling in time trials, the Spaniard can also handle mountainous races and hopes to further develop as a climber in the future. This year, the cyclist finished fourth in the U23 Time Trial World Championship, as well as sixth in the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon and twelfth in the Vuelta a Burgos.
