Tadej Pogacar attracted attention in a less favorable way this Friday afternoon, when he embarked on a brief trip to the United Arab Emirates, provided by his team. The 25-year-old Slovenian cyclist enjoyed a rest day in the desert, documenting the experience on Instagram.
The images revealed the two-time Tour de France champion pedaling his Colnago bike, posing with some fans and ending the day at home, with a virtual training session on Zwift.
Sharing the experience with his followers, Pogacar asked: “Have you ever traveled to the UAE for a day?” However, fan reaction was not unanimous, with some reacting not so positively.
One comment stood out: “No, I’m worried about climate change”, while another warned: “I wouldn’t travel to the UAE for a day. It’s not good for our climate.” Don’t boast about pollution.”
