The discussions around the much-talked-about ‘Super League’ in cycling increased significantly last week, with reports of potential investments coming from a Saudi Arabian investment fund.
A man who is purportedly leading the new ‘Super League’ proposal is the Jumbo-Visma team manager, Richard Plugge. However, one of his team’s top cyclists and recent winner of the Vuelta a España, Sepp Kuss, revealed that he had no prior knowledge of such discussions. He explained that he learned about his team’s involvement in the creation of a supposed “Super League” through the media.
“I think this has two aspects to consider.
