The good news for male professional cyclists comes with the understanding between the cyclists’ union CPA and the AIGCP, the representative group of professional cycling teams. Both parties have agreed to implement a significant increase in the minimum salary.
The current agreement was celebrated in 2019, but the new agreement applies to the years 2024 and 2025. This increase in the minimum salary applies only to male professional cyclists.
Current salary table for professional cyclists

New values starting from 2024.

In women’s cycling, the decision is made by the UCI.
In men’s cycling, the CPA and AIGCP are responsible for the increase or non-increase of the minimum salary; in women’s cycling, the UCI sets the values that should be practiced.
At the end of last year, the UCI introduced new rules for women’s cycling, including the minimum salary. The minimum salary for WorldTour female cyclists increased from 27,500 euros to 32,102 euros in 2023. In 2024, it is expected to be 35,000 euros and 38,000 euros in 2025.
The UCI aims to equalize the minimum salary with that of men. Women’s continental teams are not required to pay a minimum salary to their athletes.
