Dutch Headwind Cycling Championship canceled; the reason: “too much wind,” watch the incredible video

A prestigious event in the Netherlands, the headwind cycling championships, has seen notable winners in the past, including former Olympic mountain biking gold medalist Bart Brentjens. But this year, the wind proved to be the true winner.

“We have closely monitored the development of storm Ciarán, and unfortunately, it has become so strong that we cannot proceed. The safety of everyone is our top priority,” said the race organizers on their official social media pages.

“We were really looking forward to this, but we had to make this decision in cooperation with various parties and with a heavy heart.”
