During the last Saitama Japan Criterium at the end of last year, some of the top cyclists in the professional peloton were able to showcase their talent in the land of the rising sun. However, not all of the cycling idols limit themselves to cycling.
Immersing in Japanese culture, Sagan took the opportunity to explore Japanese traditions. As a top athlete, he chose to engage in Japan’s most traditional sport: Sumo wrestling. In Sumo, the objective is to either knock down the opponent or force them out of the ring, and striking is not allowed. Of course, amusing videos were made of this moment.
