There is no doubt that sponsoring a cycling team is a highly effective strategy to promote a bicycle manufacturer, especially when the team achieves notable victories. This is evident in the case of Canyon, whose exponential growth can be attributed in part to the impressive wins of Mathieu van der Poel in both road and cyclocross competitions.
Cervélo had 38 victories
However, the bicycle brand that stood out as the most successful last season was Cervélo. Surprisingly, on 38 occasions, a bike from this Canadian-Dutch manufacturer crossed the finish line first in WorldTour races.
This achievement is remarkable, considering that Cervélo exclusively sponsors the Jumbo-Visma team, while Alpecin-Deceuninck and Movistar use Canyon bikes.
On the other hand, Specialized sponsors three teams: Soudal Quick-Step, BORA-hansgrohe, and TotalEnergies.
Specialized is in second place with 31 victories. Remco Evenepoel is responsible for 13 of these victories. Colnago (UAE Team Emirates) is in third place with 28 victories. More than half of them (17 to be precise) are the responsibility of Tadej Pogacar.
