A little over 200 kilometers from the finish, Remco Evenepoel crashed in Il Lombardia. The Belgian champion was stopped for a while but eventually returned to the race.
Evenepoel appeared to have hip pain after the fall and was also bleeding from his left elbow. The Belgian was immediately assisted by several teammates, including Julian Alaphilippe and Ilan Van Wilder, but in the end, the damage seemed not to have been too serious.
Sjoerd Bax, Mauri Vansevenant, Jai Hindley, Giovanni Aleotti, and Sam Oomen were also among the riders involved in the crash.
